Costings for your visit from the

We are holding our rates constant for the new academic year, as we know school budgets are stretched.

We offer a variety of options and can tailor our workshops to fit your constraints of schedule and budgeting. If you have any questions, please ring Rebbetzin Shira on 07931747316 or email inquiries@ReJudaism.org.

We can come to your school in person if you are within a 90 minute drive of Reading.

Our virtual visits are available to any school in the UK (regardless of
location). We can discuss which option is most appropriate for you.

We can also send you materials to use on site for virtual visits, such as seder plates and shabbat (LED) candlesticks, so that the workshops can still be properly hands-on even over zoom. These are also available with in person visits but are not usually needed as Rabbi Zvi brings props with him on the day.

We have limited funds to subsidise some visits. If our rates are a problem for you, please be in touch so that we can find an option that fits your budget.

In Person Visit Rates

These rates apply to new bookings for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Bookings confirmed by the end of July 2026 will have an additional earlybird discount of up to £20.
A travel charge may also apply.
Costs below do not include any optional extra items such as challah.

Afternoon (up to 2 hours) — £160 (standard) / £140 (coordination)
Full morning (up to 3 hours) — £220 (standard) / £200 (coordination)
Standard School day (9:00 – 15:00) — £345
Additional charges may apply for travel and extra materials such as food for workshops.
Schools at the outer edge of our in-person area: full day in-person visits only.
Occasionally shorter in-person slots fill diary gaps; for assembly-only, a virtual visit is best.

Virtual Visit Rates

These rates apply to new bookings for the 2026-2027 academic year.

*To encourage schools to fill diary gaps, we often discount short slots by up to £15. There’s also a premium of up to £30 on free dates to keep the diary from getting too scattered. Please contact us for an updated list of virtual dates and discounted slots.

For slightly longer visits (e.g. a 3.5-hour morning visit), additional time is costed at £60/hr. Visits of unusual length are not always possible, and an afternoon visit tends to be better value than a half morning.

Virtual Short Visits

(assemblies and 1 hour slots)

We are happy to do short virtual visits (30 – 110 minutes) and have organised our virtual visit rates to make these visits affordable, as the virtual setup makes it much easier for us to visit multiple schools in the same day.

A single slot can be used for three classes simultaneously, whereas previously a whole morning would have been needed to work with each class individually. We can send sufficient reasonably priced props for you to have these in place in each classroom individually.

Short virtual visits will normally take place at the beginning or end of a morning or afternoon. Other times are possible, but cost may vary depending on the effect on scheduling. For example, a 50-minute visit at 11am or an assembly at 9:30am is typically costed as a 1-hour visit.

Aside from gap-filling visits, afternoon visits must be either the full afternoon, or 50 minutes
at 1pm/2:10pm, or occasionally an assembly at 1pm/2:30pm.

We can discount short visits by up to £15 if you can fit into a diary gap. There’s also a £30 premium on short visits on otherwise free dates. Let us know if you can be flexible about dates.

In-Person Visits Only

Full Day visits: Whole day visits allow more workshop time than separate morning and afternoon visits, at a significantly lower cost even without accounting for travel savings — probably your most cost-efficient in-person option. Some schools at the edge of our catchment area are full-day-only for in-person visits.

Coordination Visits: If your visit can fit round others already scheduled nearby on a given day, that’s a coordination visit — the most economical way to organise a visit. Note that such slots are a matter of luck and can’t always be found. For morning/afternoon coordination slots, the coordination discount is typically £20 plus any travel discount. Occasionally, for high-demand coordination slots, only travel costs are discounted.

Travel Costs

Standard rates include up to 40 minutes / 20 miles round-trip travel (using Google best guess time for an 8:45am arrival). For longer journeys, a travel cost is added, costed at £24/hr plus £0.45/mile based on an average of Google Maps longest and shortest travel times at 8:30am.

Shared Dates

Travel costs and the coordination discount can be shared between schools if we coordinate visits, so let us know if you’re flexible about dates so we can keep this cost as low as possible.

Why Schools Love our visits

Health and Safety Policy

At JCoB Education, all of our visits take place at schools, which vary in their health and safety policies.
We adhere to the policies of the schools that we visit.
It is the responsibility of schools to give us any instructions specific to that school.
We are not aware of any potential safety risks specific to visits, aside from when visits involve food items.
If there is food in your visit, this will have been arranged in advance. Synagogue visits do not involve any food element.

Policy on Food Items

When food items form part of a visit, these are given to school staff, so that staff can distribute food according to their own policies and avoid giving items to students who should not have them.
It is the responsibility of school staff to manage any allergies of students with regard to food, as we do not know your policies.
Rabbi Zvi will never give food directly to students. Please do not ask him to do this even if it seems inconvenient — this avoids any chance of mistakes, as you know your students best.
Aside from horseradish, food items are provided in sealed packages with labels showing ingredients.
Matzah may sometimes be in a sealed packet in a box that had been opened, as Rakusens contains two sealed packets per box — one packet is sufficient for a single class group.
Horseradish is a fresh vegetable, normally from our garden, so cannot be in a sealed packet like other food. It is intended primarily to be smelled rather than eaten.
As a failsafe, we provide allergy risk information (1) in your costing, (2) with a reminder in your confirmation email, (3) on the ingredients label of the sealed product.
